Clarke Thompson, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

BSc Honors Specialization Kinesiology, Western University; Masters of Osteopathic Manual Science, Canadian Academy of Osteopathy; Certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Ontario Osteopathic Association (OOA)

As an osteopathic manual practitioner, the focus is on restoring bodily function where it is lost by using a hands-on approach to treatment. As a classically trained manual osteopath, I focus on addressing the interrelation between the patient’s fascia, muscles, viscera and skeletal system using gentle manual techniques. I’ve taken a number of continuing education courses that focus on the neck and TMJ (jaw) treatments, thoracic spine and rib treatments, lumbar spine and pelvic treatments and digestive organ mobilization to help with conditions such as IBS, acid reflux, and constipation.

Health clinics and Wellness Centres that I have worked at have brought me a variety of patients young and old, suffering with acute and chronic pain.

Cycling, playing hockey, backpacking and exploring different countries, reading novels or osteopathic material, and/or enjoying time with friends and family.
