Osteopathy takes a holistic approach and concentrates on the body as whole. Treatments are a natural, manual form of healing which emphasizes connections between the structure and function of the human body. Treatments are done with the client clothed, and generally involve gentle manual work. It is best known for the treatment of chronic disorders such as back and neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, postural strain, and jaw dysfunction. Osteopathy works to optimize structural balance and allow the body to perform optimally, heal itself, and reduce or eliminate pain.
